Ma’am
Cristina Pabillo, a Mother to Us
It’s
teacher’s day once again. A day for our heroes since we were kindergartens, a
day for our second mothers, our teachers. They are the people who are always
there for us when we have problems in our studies. But what is a teacher? In a
dictionary, a teacher is the one who teaches but in real life, we all know what
a real definition for a teacher is. A teacher can be your friend and ‘barkada’
or even your enemy at school, but one thing is for sure, they will never leave
their students in times of trouble.
So it’s the annual teachers’ day
again. Every student and teacher is excited. Of course who wouldn’t be? This
year, SSG (Student Supreme Council) asked every student in CNSHS to pay 30 for
the teachers. They prepared buffets for our second mothers, not only that, but
they also prepared a program for the teachers. It was very fun, some students
watched it but some didn’t for that day was half day and they decided to go
home instead or go somewhere they needed to go. According to some students who
watched the program, the teachers, danced, laughed and many more. Ma’am Chato
even danced ‘Gangnam Style they said.” That day was really fun for the
teachers.
These words aren’t enough to express
our thanks for these second mothers who helped throughout our lives. We should
cherish them, yes. Some teachers are
natural heroes, some even teach students on mountains just so that these
students have some knowledge even if they can’t afford. Ma’am Tenny, was like a
mother to us. If one of our classmates celebrates a birthday, all of us from
II-F celebrates it! Ma’aTenny’s birthday was also unforgettable. Also, we should respect them always. I know
this isn’t enough as thanks but at least I showed it in this essay of mine.
Salamat mga ma’am!
